well folks, it's that time of year again, when good movies get over looked, and the crap gets nominated. actually this year wasn't so bad, at least dreamgirls didn't get nominated in 200 categories. but i must point out some pretty ridiculous omissions. and that would be the snubs on matthew libatique and clint mansell. i will be the first to say i don't think the fountain was the best film of the year, but the cinematography and score were unreal. go download the fountain score from itunes and see what i mean. haunting, epic, beautiful, purposeful. how was this nominated?!!?! oh well, julia roberts beat ellen burstyn in 2000 for stinking erin brockovich over requiem for a dream. whadda ya gonna do.

but... little miss sunshine being nominated for best picture proves that someone knows what they are doing.
